Situated on 40 secluded acres at the end of a quiet dirt road, this intimate retreat is a true hideaway, surrounded by nature and the soothing sounds of the Little Pine River.
Step inside and unwind by the crackling wood-burning fireplace, or sink into the comfort of the couch with a good book. The open living space is perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. Whether you're savoring a quiet moment or sharing stories, the warmth of the cabin invites you to feel right at home.
The beauty of the Northwoods is right outside your door. Spend your days hiking or biking the many trails that wind through the property, or take a peaceful morning stroll across the bridge and down to the river—perfect for a moment of reflection with a cup of coffee in hand. The sights and sounds of nature will surround you as you discover the hidden gems of the estate.
This cabin is the ideal romantic getaway for couples looking to reconnect with nature and each other. Whether you’re unwinding together by the fire or exploring the scenic landscape, our A-frame offers the perfect setting for lasting memories.

Other Things to Note:
Winter Access: If you're visiting in the winter, we recommend a 4x4 vehicle to navigate the dirt roads, as conditions can be challenging.
Mosquitoes: We do not use pesticides to spray for mosquitoes in order to maintain the natural environment, so be sure to bring bug spray if you prefer.

Cross the bridge over the river and Enjoy 40 Acres of mowed in trails for Hiking, walking, bird watching.
We will have snowshoes available in the winter. Kids and adults sizes. No guarantee all snowshoes will fit every guest perfectly.

-River End A-frame is pet friendly with prior approval, a signed pet addendum, and a fee of $50 per day. Max 2 pets allowed. Fee applied to reservation after booking is made. On top of the pet fee, there will be an additional fee starting at $150 if we deem there is damage to the property regarding your pets stay.

Trail Runner Dream
by Douglas HawkinsAmazing spot. A trail runner's dream. Super quiet and private, beautiful crick running through the property, groomed trails through a huge plot of land. The cabin itself is lovely, very mellow, every need provided for. Exceptional rental, all-around. I would gladly rent again.

Our four day stay was a great respite. The property is private and quiet…a wonderful place to find solitude and simple peace. The amenities were on point and reflected the listing information. We thoroughly enjoyed both indoor and outdoor fires. The wood available for purchase was at a reasonable cost was well seasoned. We spent a good deal of time on the front deck as well as the back porch, (depending on the direction of the wind.) We enjoyed walking the trails in the woods and the quiet dirt roads. We heard coyotes at night while star gazing, scared up several large grouse on our walks and observed a beaver working its way down the river. The starts were glorious! Our host was available and responded quickly to any inquiries. We definitely plan to return
My wife and I loved this beautiful and cozy cabin, especially the wood burning fireplace and Sonos speakers. Made for a perfect week away with just the right amount of space for the two of us. Great private lot with a gorgeous view.
We loved the cute and well maintained A-Frame. It was exactly what we were looking for. The host was very communicative and provided well though out and timely instructions. The seclusion and privacy was really great. We also appreciated the information about things to do and where to eat in the area.
Best Stay
by MaxMy wife and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary at the A-frame. It was exactly as everyone else said and more. The biggest plus being we were able to bring our two corgis with us. We loved walking the trails with them. I had no idea how much I would enjoy the privacy of the property. We already are looking to book again!
Lived up to Expectations
by PashI wish I would have booked a longer stay - even just another day. It was a beautiful sight driving up to the a-frame. Everything was neat and clean and looked just like it did in photos. We had great weather and decided not to lounge all day so took a short day trip to explore the area. I appreciated that the hosts were so detailed and communicative. Like everyone mentioned, enjoyed the screened in back porch where I could \"be\" outside without the bugs.
We needed a getaway into the woods after a stressful summer and the A-Frame was the perfect place to go. It was so quiet, cozy, and peaceful to be surrounded by nature. We loved the amenities and everything was incredibly clean, with thoughtful touches and helpful notes. It was so nice to receive a little welcome gift of local chocolate and coffee too. We spent the week enjoying the outdoors, grilling, rock-hunting in Duluth and Moose Lake, and ended with a wonderful round of mini-golf in Crosslake. Quiet getaway
by CaliOur stay at River End was what we were hoping for- a secluded, truly quiet cabin. The screen porch is super helpful for enjoying the quiet with some bug protection. Hosts were responsive and we had no communication issues. Everything was clean and cared for. Flies were bad but that’s not a surprise for the area.
I booked the A-frame at River end for a solo few days getaway. The property was beautiful and the cabin had everything that I needed for a restful and relaxing stay. Although it rained the whole time I didn’t mind. I kept myself busy on the three season porch reading, writing and listening to the storms pass through. I plan to come back in the fall or winter so that I can explore the property around the river a bit more. Thank you so much for the lovely stay. I will definitely be returning.
We loved this beautiful cabin! Very secluded in the deep woods, we loved having coffee and listening to the birds. Loved everything about this place! We will be back!

IT WAS AMAZING! the house the spotless when he arrive and had such a nice and relaxing stay we rebook again!
We escaped to the woods to unwind and enjoy some peace and quiet. The A frame cabin was cozy and well appointed. The surrounding woods were so quiet. If you like to read it’s a perfect spot. The town of Emily has a fantastic meat market. Communication with host was super. Highly recommend it for a rest and reset.
Cozy cabin

A lovely, private getaway at the Emily A Frame. Just as listed, this place is adorable, cozy and just right for a couple and their dog. We lazed the weekend away reading, walking, and relaxing - and managed a trip out to the nearby brewery for some local music, brews and food. All in all a 5 star find!

Exceeded our expectations. Super clean, small kitchen well stocked, secluded and quiet which is what we were looking for. AC worked well, kept the cabin cool (late August). Spent time on both the front and back deck, very peaceful. The loft bedroom was cute, bed was comfortable, stairs are a bit steep for older people. The 2 lounge chairs were great for reading or afternoon naps. Love that it was dog friendly. This is a great little hideaway to get away from it all. We will be back. Jay L. Andover MN
Simple yet Functional
by TonyaLoved our stay. It was myself, hubby and our 2 girls. We had lots of fun in and around the area as well as enjoyed our nights in snuggled on the couch. Only thing I would note is that there is a pull out trundle in the loft that I didn\'t know of, and the loft gets really warm on those sunny days. Once the sun went down, it cooled off pretty nicely. Oh!!! And my husband could not shut up about how comfy the bed was haha! Would definitely recommend and will stay again!

Cozy A-frame
by RoxanaSpent my 30th birthday in this Gem! It was a well thought out property it has all of the essentials you’ll need. This is the perfect place to disconnect and have break from your busy everyday lives. My kids enjoyed playing board games & watching movies. WiFi is super fast. We were lucky enough to spot a bear crossing in front of the property! I can’t imagine how beautiful this place looks in the fall.
Enjoyed Our Stay

We absolutely loved the screen porch and spent a lot of time out there listening to the birds and just enjoying the peacefulness. We also spent time by the river and moved our chairs there for part of the day and just soaked up the scenery and quietness. The remote location was a big plus for us! It can be hard to find dog friendly cabins and we are so happy that we found this place! We loved it and hope to come back another time.
