We had a amazing stay very clean very beautiful property!
This is one of the best Air B&B experiences we’ve had! Our group of 8 had a wonderful MEA weekend. We enjoyed the colorful leaves, campfire, and lake! The home was spacious and spotless. Everything was provided— from utensils for kids to shampoo. We spent plenty of time cozied up together inside but also enjoyed the activities available in nearby Crosby. Mountain biking, visiting Victual, eating at the Red Raven and playing at the park kept us busy. Overall the space was gorgeous and peaceful. I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!
The kitchen and items were well stocked, clean, cute and a welcoming rental for our group.

She-esta weekend
by Signe WalkerThis was beautiful! Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and beach towels for all 7 of us girls. Kayaks and paddleboard were fun. The multiple spots to relax and each with its own fireplace was nice. The morning coffee on the outside deck with the gas fireplace was wonderful and the loons were talking to us. We were close to the mining tour which was informative but the best part was just being able to reconnect with this friend group in a fabulous spot. Thanks for a great time!
Beautiful Cabin
by Sharon OliverVery beautiful location. Worked well for our multi-generational get-together (youngest were older teens). Nice big lawn, wonderful fire pit, enjoyed kayaks and paddle board. We rented a pontoon from Nisswa and were grateful for the dock. Overall really lovely experience and would come back.
Amazing Rabbit Lake Cabin

Excellent House

House was excellent, we had everything we needed, kitchen fully stocked, beds super comfortable, enough towels, blankets, games, all the extras to make you feel right at home. Plenty of nice gathering spaces in the home, on the deck and in the yard! Dock worked well for our 22 ft boat. Lake was gorgeous! Only thing to note is that the yard going down to the water could be a bit hard for littles or elderly….. otherwise no complaints!

We went as a large family weekend away. There was so much to do (board games, hiking nearby, etc) and the amenities in the home impressed everyone. Anything we needed was available. It slept all of us comfortably and noise did not carry. Beds were cozy, bathrooms were clean and well equipped. The views from the house of the lake were so peaceful. This was a perfect place to stay! We plan on coming back!
Weekend Girls Reading Retreat

The kitchen was well stocked with basics and had every utensil or serving dish we needed to cook delicious meals together. The house itself was super comfortable and had plenty of blankets and cozy seating to curl up with a book. It was -20 out when we visited but the home stayed cozy. Lots of cute local spots to shop and eat or drink in downtown Crosby which was only a 7 minute drive. When we arrived, it had been snowing but the path was well salted and recently cleared. I would LOVE to come visit again in the summer. The views of the sunrise over the lake in the mornings were GORGEOUS. We will definitely be rebooking for our next girls weekend!

Wonderful stay
by Robyn GWe just stayed at the Loonstar Lodge for MEA and it met all expectations! The house was immaculate, stocked with all the kitchen necessities and looked just as good as in the photos! Our two families felt very comfortable and had such a wonderful stay. There was lots of fishing, relaxing and enjoyment of the outdoors. The house is very convenient to Crosby and the Cuyuna trails which we very much enjoyed. We will be back!

Spacious Cabin

Cozy Cabin Crosby MN
by Susanne HanleyOur family of 5 adults had more than enough room and space inside & out during our stay. We loved the cozy cabin feel with many comfortable gathering spaces and comfy cozy beds in each room. The home is very well stocked with plenty of dishes, paper products and basic spices and oils. Our favorite was the fire table on the deck for our morning coffee and the fire pit by the lake for evening fires making s’mores. Though there isn’t a place on the property for walks or runs we went just a couple miles to the Cuyuna State Recreation area just outside Crosby which had a paved trail for walking, running and biking. Crosby is a fun little town with shops, restaurants, a brewery and Rafferty’s which had the best pizza…all only a few miles away. We also rented a pontoon from Crosslake Rental and they delivered it to us at the boat launch on Rabbit Lake. It was so easy and having a dock onsite was so great! I would definitely book again for my family!

This place is first class! Not only does the house have great space and room to unwind, but it also has things like great bedding/towels, a well-stocked kitchen, and so many "extras" that all you have to do is relax. We live in MN, but the other two families came from PA and they were truly impressed with all this place had to offer. LOVED the Loonstar Lodge and working with a very responsive and helpful rental staff!
A Crosby gem! We loved our stay at Loonstar Lodge. We loved being able to explore Crosby but have a home base just a few minutes away. From playing scrabble after our daughter went to bed to the baby gate that allowed us to let her run around on the main floor without us having to worry about the details of this space was created or families and groups in mind. We're already trying to plan a summer trip here, so we can get out on the water and bring our family!
This place was absolutely perfect. We showed up and there was a growler for us from the local brewery.The house felt like a cozy cabin while also being incredibly clean and smelling fresh. A full closet of household products were available for us. I’ve never seen an Airbnb give access to everything like loonstar did. My baby threw up all over his car seat and I felt like we were right at home being able to wash&dry his car seat covers. There is kid silverware/plates and even a high chair we used. They truly have everything from fancy cutting boards for charcuterie arrangements to cocktail glasses to over 40 clean towels for your group to use. The location is absolutely prime. the photos don’t show is how private it is while also being so close to so many fun things. Our group was a mixed bag of pregnant people, brewery people, hunters/fishers, and babies. It was perfect for all of us. I could see loonstar being a good fit for a big family or a big girls trip. It was such a fun weekend!
