-Oak Haven is pet friendly with prior approval, a signed pet addendum, and a fee of $50 per day. Max 2 pets allowed. Fee applied to reservation after booking is made. On top of the pet fee, there will be an additional fee starting at $150 if we deem there is damage to the property regarding your pets stay.

More Than Expected
by Jennifer PucelyWe needed a large space for 18 family members from all over North America, ages 8 to 86, and this delivered beyond what we could imagine! Incredible/multiple spaces to hang out, prep meals, eat, and take in the view. VERY well-appointed kitchen, which always makes a difference in a rental. The selection of \"toys\" was awesome too! Our only request for next time would be that the \"beach\" area look like the picture - fewer weeds/more beach. Will book again because BooktheBLA is so great to work with!
Family vacation
by KarlaWe had an awesome week at Oakhaven with our 4 adult kids, their spouses and 8 grandkids, 6 and under. Each family had their own space, with bathroom. The privacy and space was beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed and used the front and backyard, kayaks, SUP and paddle boat. It was a perfect space to be together as a family! 4 different states so getting together as a group doesn’t happen very often! Kitchen was very well equipped!
We stayed at Oak Haven in the fall of 2024 and had an awesome experience!! Our group was four separate families, all with young kids and there was plenty of room for everyone! The property has a MASSIVE lakefront area and yard which the kids loved!
Perfect for our group of Icefisherman
by Jerold JaegerThis house is perfect for our group of ice fisherman. The garage is heated & has plenty of space to spread out gear & dry out at the end of the day. The kitchen is ideal for cooking for a large group & plenty of seating options. Fishing in front of the cabin is fantastic. We’ll continue to come back each winter as long as we can.
We finally found the perfect cabin to rent! The home is beautiful- we hosted a family reunion with 11 people and had so much space! The property is unbelievable, PRIVATE, and very well maintained. Greta has been an absolute dream to work with and she made our easier with her help. We rented the cabin in June 2023 and already reserved for June 2024!
For years we have rented the biggest and nicest cabin in northern MN that is available for an extended family vacation. This is by far the nicest property we have rented. The scale and quality of the house surpass the pictures! The house is well equipped inside and out with everything possible in kitchen and kayaks and boat lifts. Moreover, David at BooktheBLA (I'm not sure what that stands for) was great to work with and referred us to place to rent pontoon for our stay and when we had trouble with grill he sent someone out with new grill within a couple hours. The only things I would change about property is to have to have a less weedy and deeper bottom to lake in front of property and have it located 30-40 minutes closer to Twin Cities. One other thing. There are very touchy dimmer switches on most of the lights that drove me crazy.
Well kept, clean house, beautiful location on the lake, extremely responsive hosts. We will be back!
Fantastic stay! The home is beautiful and the kitchen was VERY well stocked with everything you need to prepare big meals! We enjoyed the stunning fall colors, fire pit, the big open yard, being able to gather together or spread out, and the communication with the concierge, Greta, was top notch. Thank you for all you did to make sure our stay was memorable!
We have nothing but great things to say about our stay at Oak Haven. We had 20 people stay at the cabin and we still felt that we had plenty of space the entire weekend. The property is beautifully maintained and the management team has been so accommodating and helpful prior to and during our stay. We used this property for our micro-wedding in the backyard and it was the perfect day and weekend. The management team was very helpful in finding vendors since we are not from the area. We cannot be more happy with our stay and experience at Oak Haven!
Oak Haven is a majestic beast of a rental! Far enough away into the woods that you feel like you are truly on a retreat with direct access to beautiful Leech Lake. The space is conducive for entertaining a large group but cozy enough to suit a few couples as well! We had an amazing time this summer paddle boarding and pontooning the lake, venturing into Walker for some local grub and shopping, and spending the evenings by the fire, and playing games! We had a great time and struck up a tournament with the golf putter in the garage and cooked some excellent meals in that five-star kitchen. An amazing up-north retreat, we will certainly be back!
The property was beautiful for our stay in mid-July. We had plenty of room for 3 families. It was a cooler week, so we took advantage of the big yard for games when it was too cold in the water. Having two full fridges and plenty of cupboard space was great since we all brought way more food than we needed! When wildlife got into the dumpster and made a mess, the property managers were very responsive with solutions to prevent the mess with no extra effort on our part. Highly recommend this property!
We just had our four children their spouses and 9 grandchildren ranging in ages of 5 weeks to 18 years old, 19 in all!There was not enough time to do all we wanted... the house was amazing!! Enough room to have privacy as well as all be together.The kids hired a private photographer to come and take pics outside. I can't wait to see them! The quality of the house and amenities, made our vacation even sweeter! Thanks so much to Greta and David for their support.
Overall, a beautiful property that let our family gather comfortably. Just needs a once over for maintenance issues. We appreciate the owner sharing this beautiful property with us. We also appreciate the responsiveness of your team when we did reach out for help.
