With 7 spacious bedrooms, 5 baths, a loft area, and a lakeside dining room, this home offers ample room for everyone. The fully equipped kitchen is perfect for family meals, and the open living spaces are ideal for gathering together, no matter the season.
Please note, while the property is equipped with stunning views and incredible amenities, there are multiple stairs leading down to the lake, so it may not be suitable for those requiring handicap accessibility.
For winter adventurers, the ideal snowmobile trail is just a 2-minute drive from the front door, making it easy to explore the area. Head to local eateries like the Old Milwaukee Club or Norway Ridge for a warm meal after a day on the trails, or embark on a longer ride that connects to the Breezy Point and Crosslake trails. Annual Women's Weekend

Up North Cabin
by Katie TobinThis well-appointed home had everything we needed and more. There were lots of spaces to gather or sneak away to a quiet corner. We were very lucky to have a balmy fall weekend, and it was fun to explore around the area and enjoy the amenities on the property. The space seems very well cared for, and there are many fun details that add to the up north vibe. Our group was gathering for a wedding and regrettably didn't have an opportunity to take advantage of some of the bonuses of this home, but we had a great time in a lovely setting.

Perfect Family Cabin
by Jess HWe absolutely loved staying at Shady Pines. We rented the pontoon for the week and had a great time fishing and cruising around this perfect up north lake. The cabin is really well stocked with kitchen tools and there are plenty of linens and extra blankets and pillows. The cabin is really clean and well cared for. We had a total of 9 adults and 6 kids plus some friends that came to visit during the day and the house did not feel crowded at all. The kids had so much fun using the paddle boards, playing on the sport court and using the play set. There are lots of games and with the ping pong and shuffle board, we still had lots of entertainment even when the weather wasn\'t great. We also rented a sauna for a few days and used the lake as a cold plunge, which was fantastic. The rental company was really easy to communicate with and we will definitely be back!
Our bookclub of 14 women had the perfect weekend retreat. The house was the ideal size spacious, cozy and full of charm. We played games shared laughter and read plenty of books! We couldn’t have asked for a better place to make memories!
Our extended family stayed at the Shady Pines home this past weekend and we were more than pleased! House was amazing with excellent furnishings and beautiful location! We would definitely stay again!
Tons of space for a big group, with room to spread out. The management was very quick to respond to any questions - before and during our stay. That allowed us to keep our focus on the trip - where it belongs!
Family long weekend

The house had everything we needed and so much room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. We especially loved being able to all eat together at the big table, and the living room seating was super comfortable for everyone. The game room was a huge hit with the whole family! It was also great that there were enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. The house was clean and well-stocked, which made our stay even better. We would absolutely recommend Shady Pines to other large families! This is the 2nd time I’ve booked with the BLA. They are easy to work with, super responsive & accommodating. We’ll be back next year!

Beautiful Home

We were very impressed with all the space, the game room, each of our families had their own bathroom, the craftsmanship, fully stocked kitchen and feather pillows. Great Family Christmas Weekend

Wonderful Stay

Our group had an amazing long weekend at Shady Pines! This house has everything you need and more. Great game room, fully outfitted kitchen and grill, multiple fire pits and a huge back lawn right on the lake. Clean property that is secluded and made for a great weekend spot for 10 of us! We hope to be back soon!
Felt right at home, well stocked, so many things to do for so many ages, beautiful place and surroundings. We loved it. Thank you!
Our group had a great time here! Lots of space to spread out, a giant kitchen, a great dining table for meals, plenty of beds/bedrooms, and the hot tub was nice and clean. Close to many skiing/snowshoeing trails, and right on the lake (which we will have to come back for when it isn't frozen over!) Also worth noting that this rental agency was excellent to work with. Would not hesitate to book this (or another BLA) property again!
My family stayed here at the end of July and found it the perfect place to gather. There was more than enough room for the 13 of us (ages 12-76) and so much to do. The lily pad, pontoon and basketball hoop were among the outside favorites and game room inside got lots of use. The kitchen was well fitted, clean and well used a we ate all meals in at the wonderful big dining table. David was excellent in taking care of us and went out of his way when my granddaughter left something behind. Thank you or the memories! S
